TARGET YOUR MESSAGE TO ONLY THOSE WHO NEED TO HEAR IT

Distance can be controlled depending on antenna height, line of sight, power output and the number of frequencies that are being broadcast on at the same time.

What is Over-Broadcasting?
By communicating clear spoken instructions to motorists, they will know how and when to respond to a situation, reducing confusion or risk of accidents.
Over-broadcasting transmits a voice message on the same frequency as the FM radio station you are listening to.  If you are within range of this signal, you’ll hear the message clearly over the main broadcast, informing you of an event or incident and the best course of action.  No special equipment or modification to your radio is needed.

Why Radiolert?
Radiolert adds another level of awareness and safety to motorists and the general public.  Lights and sirens are often only seen and heard in the immediate area.  Most modern vehicles are very quiet and well insulated from exterior noise.  Add to this, your car’s audio system even at moderate volume and it’s not uncommon to be startled with only seconds to react, by the sudden appearance of an emergency vehicle under lights and sirens.  This is where Radiolert gives you the additional advantage of knowing up to 200 metres away that an emergency vehicle is approaching.  This gives you and surrounding motorists more time to calmly respond.

Who can use it?
Over-broadcasting can be utilised by Emergency Services such as:
  • First Responders
  • Police
  • Fire and rescue crews
  • Paramedics
  • Ambulance personnel

Over-broadcasting can be used in fixed or portable locations for:
  • Road maintenance crews
  • Toll booth operators
  • Tow truck drivers
  • Traffic control for major public events
  • Rail level crossings
  • School crossings
  • Traffic management in construction or accident zones
  • Public safety during Police incidents

Over-broadcasting can be used as another important communication tool when other means of communication may fail during natural disasters.  Radiolert can be deployed as a fixed base station or mobile or portable unit during:
  • Earthquakes
  • Bushfires
  • Floods
  • Other extreme weather events, to name a few
